Registration OPEN for 10th Genghis Khan Festival 2016

The registration for the 2016 Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and the Grassland Marathon has been opened. Next year the 10th anniversary of the event will take place in Xiwuqi from 1 to 3 July. Sign up quickly to score the early bird rate, but also to ensure a place at all as our event was sold out the past three years.

Tuulkhangai controls his rivals and finally wins the overall

Mongolia's Tugulduur Tuulkhangai is the new Genghis Khan MTB champion after controlling his main rivals on the final 100km long stage. He was third in a six-man sprint behind his compatriots Simiya and Baasankhuu. Chiara Eberle is the clear winner of the women's MTB competition.

Repeat victory for Hu Hao at Yurt City

The 2nd stage in the Genghis Khan MTB Adventure saw a fantastic performance by Hu Hao, who came from behind to outsprint two breakaway companions at Yurt City. Tugulduur Tuulkhangai suffered a crank problem, but managed to limit the damage and remains in yellow.

Lachowski wins Grassland Marathon in record time

Poland's Andrezj Lachowski dominated a sunny and warm 2015 Grassland Marathon with a solo record run to finish just under 2:40. The women's race on the other hand concluded in a sprint finish and saw Chen Linming beat Ma Yanxing.

Tuulkhangai expels bad spirits and claims 5th GKF stage win

2015-07-03Anybody who thought that Tugulduur Tuulkhangai was going to play it safe on the first day of the 9th Genghis Khan MTB Adventure was pretty much mistaken. In his traditional no-holds-barred style, Tugu just crushed the opposition and as such expelled the bad spirits that had plagued him on two previous occasions of this 1st stage. He arrived solo with over two minutes advantage over a trio, while Germany's Chiara Eberle took the stage win in the women's.

German victories in the Nadamu time trial

The 5.8 km individual time trial saw two German riders with the fastest times on the loop around Nadamu. Bernhard Uhl just nicked it by a mere three seconds over a showbooting Jataraboon Kiangchaipaiphana in 12:07, whereas Chiara Eberle had a clear advantage over Bitbit Baby Marites Sotto in a female lap record of 12:55!
