Nordic Ways is very happy to announce that the 2016 Genghis Khan Grassland Marathon have reached an agreement with Joyrun, which is the most popular running APP in 2015 in China. That means all the runner who can’t go to the Xiwuqi to enjoy the marathon on the grassland can also finish the marathon through Joyrun APP, then get a very fancy on-line GKM medal for a memory.
Nordic Ways is very pleased to announce that we have reached a partnership with Iranshao again. Iranshao is therefore the photo service provider of Genghis Khan Festival 2016. Founded in 2013, it is a very active sports website and leading online medium in China. The founder and his team are all renowned trail runners in China.
In only three years, the combiné of mountainbiking and running in an attempt to grab the crown of King or Queen of the Grasslands, has become a popular endurance challenge during the Genghis Khan Festival that attracts athletes by itself. Whereas the undisputed difficulty of the competition saw a DNF rate of well over 50% in the first years, 94 out of 138 completed the feat last year.
Nordic Ways is pleased to announce that the Beijing ISPO trade fair has partnered the Genghis Khan Grassland Marathon this year. Everybody is therefore highly welcome to visit our Genghis Khan Festival booth at the exhibition in Beijing National Convention Center from 24 to 27 February.
At the Genghis Khan Festival we are always happy to support and highlight a great and relevant cause, and in 2016 it is again Operation Smile that acts as our official charity partner. All participants are highly encouraged to donate to or raise funds for Operation Smile, which helps less privileged children with cleft conditions.
