Puncture for Miga, Jamba youngest GKF winner

The 10th anniversary edition of the Genghis Khan MTB Adventure went to 19-year-old Mongolian Sainbayar Jambaljamts. His main rival Baasaankhuu suffered a puncture halfway and had to settle for third. Tugulduur Tuulkhanghai won the stage, his seventh career stage win in Xiwuqi.

Brave Jambaljamts attacks, wins and grabs yellow!

The merely 19-year-old Mongolian Sainbayar Jambaljamts has finally managed to score that elusive first stage victory in Xiwuqi. Today he was clearly the better rider on the second stage of the Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and he will start tomorrow's long last stage wearing the yellow jersey. Enja Tuvshinjargal scored her second sprint win against Solongo Tserenlham.

Pan Lihui climbs too fast for Lachowski

Pan Lihui from Inner Mongolia's capital city Hohhot is the surprise winner of the Grassland Marathon. In an exciting race he ran away from new KOG leader Zhang Zhenlong and last year's champion Andrezj Lachowski on one of the climbs around km 25. Mongolia's Sanjidmaa was fastest woman in a new course record!

MTB: Tuulkhangai fights back to win 6th GKF stage

Quite a sensational ride today by defending GKF MTB champion Tuguldur Tuulkhangai (Team Chiru-Magura). After being dropped by his compatriots Baasaankhuu and Jambaljtsen early on, Tugu battled his way back to the front and beat them in the sprint. It was his sixth career stage victory in Xiwuqi.

Lachowski going for 2nd Grassland Marathon win

The last will be the first is a popular saying in many countries, and we can wonder if it will apply to Xiwuqi this year, as last year's Grassland Marathon winner Andrzej Lachowski decided only in the past few days that he can make it back to China this weekend for the race. Lachowski lives in Poland, and will have a jetlag to overcome, but he is the obvious favourite in the marathon tomorrow morning.

GKF MTB - Tuulkhangai and Eberle defend titles

The 10th anniversary edition of the Genghis Khan Festival starts tomorrow afternoon with the traditional opening ceremony followed by the first stage of the MTB Adventure. The three-day race sees a record number of registered participants (700) and promises to as exciting as ever under the blue skies of the Xiwuqi Grasslands.

MTB: apply for the primary start block

As every year, participants in the Genghis Khan MTB Adventure will be split up at the starting area into four separate starting groups. The first block is reserved for race favourites and riders with proven merit.
